Mr. Sonny Allison

Chairman

Sonny founded Red Star Express Ltd. in 1992. It became a FedEx Licensee in 1994 and got quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 2007. With a turnover of over N7billion Red Star Plc is the No2 in the Nigerian market today. Prior to this he was at DHL International Limited from 1987, in increasing roles up to Country Commercial Manager of Anglophone West Africa. Mr. Allison's professional career started in 1977 at the British-American Tobacco Company Limited.

He also the founder / Executive Chairman of GMC Logistics Ltd

Mr. J. I. Onwughara

Non-Executive Director

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and holds a Masters Degree in Banking & Finance from the University of Ibadan. He retired as Deputy General Manager with Savannah Bank Plc., and presently engaged in Financial Consultancy services.

Sam O. Onukwue - (MBA. M.Sc FCS FCA)

Group Managing Director

Sam is an astute banker with extensive banking and capital market experience gained over 28 years in the industry. He served in the Banking Supervision department of the Central Bank of Nigeria followed by various stints in Merchant and Commercial Banks as well as other Multinational Financial Institutions.

He was a Director at Citizens Bank prior to the merger which led to the creation of Spring Bank. He played an active role on the team that led the exercise resulting in his appointment to the inaugural board of the newly formed entity as an Executive Director (Operations).

He has also advised on several Corporate Finance transactions including the divestment of various bank subsidiaries following the CBN directive which expired in 2012. In addition, he has led advisory teams in various business combination transactions in the past five years.

Sam serves on the Board of many companies spanning a number of sectors. He is a sitting Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and serves as the Treasurer of the Association of Stockbroking Houses of Nigeria. He is also a member of the Board of the Investment Protection Fund at the Nigerian Stock Exchange and a member of the Institute of Directors.

Sam is the founder and pioneer CEO of Mega Equities Ltd (Members of the Nigerian Stock Exchange) which he has successfully piloted since its inception in 2002 and Mega Capital Financial Services Limited.

Mr Shuaibu Idris

Non-Executive Director

Shuaibu Idris is a graduate of Accounting (Second Class Upper) from Bayero University Kano, Nigeria. He also holds an M.A. degree in Banking and Finance from University of Wales, Bangor, U.K. He is a member of many professional institutions such as Fellow, Institute of Credit Administrators (FICA), Member, Institute of Directors, Nigeria (M.IoD), Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Management (U.K), Associate Member, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Associate Member Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (ACIPM), Associate Member, Cost Management Institute (Nigeria) (ACMI), to mention but a few.

He was appointed to the position of Deputy Managing Director of Dangote Flour Mills Plc in Nov. 2009. Prior to his appointment as Deputy Managing Director of DFM Plc, Shuaibu Idris has held the positions of Executive Director in charge of Sales and Marketing (flour) and Ag. Managing Director/CEO, DFM Plc. He was at one time Group General Manager (Admin/HR, Corporate Affairs, Properties & Environment), Group Treasurer and Special Assistant to the Group Vice President. Before joining the Dangote Group, he was the Group Head (Public Sector) of Liberty Bank Plc, Managing Consultant/CEO Time-Line Consult Limited, Deputy General Manager Lakeside Investments Limited and Head Capital Markets and Advisory Division of Continental Merchant Bank Nigeria Plc.

Shuaibu Idris has attended numerous courses both within and outside Nigeria including Lagos Business School (AMP), Harvard Business School (AMP), Galilee College, Israel (SME), Loughbourough University (Islamic Banking Programme), U.K., DC Gardener, U.K, Manchester Business School (Senior Bankers Course), U.K. and Amembal and Isom, U.K. (Leasing Course), to mention but a few. He serves on the Board of a number of companies such as Capital Trust and Investments Limited, Temple and Aegeandas Limited and ValueFrontiera Limited. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of some NGO such as C.O.PE – a Breast Cancer NGO, Gabasawa Women and Children Foundation and TESI – a Youth Development Foundation.

Emmanuel Egbumokei (B. Eng, PG. IT, MBA)

Managing Director

Emmanuel has over 17 years banking experience mainly in Investment Banking. He started an Executive Assistant at Continental Trust Bank in 2001. His experience spans various Investment Banking firms from Intercontinental Capital Markets Limited, Oceanic Bank International Plc, Oceanic Capital, Ecobank Nigeria and Ecobank Capital. Emmanuel’s career in Investment Banking has resulted in raising over $1 billion in the Debt and Equity markets for several companies in Nigeria and some other African countries.

Emmanuel holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and MBA from the Lagos State University with specialization in Marketing.

He is a Securities and Exchange Commission registered sponsored individual in the Financial Advisory\Issuing House function.

He has attended various local and international courses including Euromoney Training, Philips Consulting, CIBN management/leadership programs.
