Sam O. Onukwue - (MBA. M.Sc FCS FCA)

Managing Director/CEO

Sam is an astute banker with vast exposure. He has extensive banking and capital market experience gained over 28 years with the Central Bank of Nigeria, Merchant and Commercial Banks and Multinational Financial Institutions. He serves on the Board of many companies as well as professional bodies/trade groups. He is the founder and pioneer CEO of Mega Equities Ltd (Members of the Nigerian Stock Exchange) which he has successfully piloted since its inception in 2002.

Bartholomew .O. Ogbonna

Executive Director

Mr Ogbonna graduated with a B.A. Accounting from Glassboro State College, New Jersey U.S.A. in 1975 and MBPA (finance) South Eastern University, Washington DC in 1980. On return to Nigeria, He was a lecturer with the Institute of Management Technology, Enugu before joining ICON Ltd. Merchant Bankers in 1983. He moved on to Icon Stock-Brokers, where he trained and qualified as a Dealing clerk of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

He left ICON in 1989 to join PIVOT Finance , Prior to his joining the company he was with MAXIFUND Investment and Securities Ltd. (member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange) where he served as Chief Operating Officer.

Olusegun Adams

Vice President- Corporate Finance

Segun is an alumnus of the prestigious Yaba College of Technology where he graduated among the top 3 in Accountancy in June 1996 and became an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in May 1996. He holds an MBA in management from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma and also holds Certificate in Asset Management from FFTW (USA), and a Diploma in Asset Management from BNP Paribas Academy (Paris). He has in the course of his career been exposed to various training programmes in London, USA, France and Luxembourg at different times. He has over 17 year cognate experience in financial services with specialization in Corporate Finance, Strategy, Asset Management & Insurance.

He started his banking career in 1997 with Equity Bank of Nigeria Ltd where he did his mandatory National Youth Service Corp. His sterling qualities were quickly identified during this period which led to his retention in the services of the bank. In a short while, he rose to become the acting head of Strategy and Corporate Planning of the bank even as an entry level staff after several landmark initiatives including an overhaul and integration of the performance management system of the bank. He left in 2000 and had a short stint with Devcom Bank Ltd as the Head, Strategy. He moved to Gatewaybank Plc in 2001 where he handled several responsibilities including Strategy, Financial Control, Treasury Marketing, Business Renewal among many others. His role in the bank led him to many landmark initiatives including the establishment of one of the current leading Mortgage Banks in the country among many other achievements leading to awards at 3 different times for excellent performance. He was the merger coordinator of Gatewaybank in 2005 when the bank merged with 3 other banks to become Intercontinental Bank Plc. He was quite instrumental to the stellar growth of Intercontinental Bank and his last role was as the Head, Strategy and Corporate Planning up till 2011 when the bank merged with Access Bank. He went into private practice in 2012 before joining Mega Capital in 2014.

Segun comes with deep experience and versatility in financial services and his achievement amongst many others includes a unique back-to-back N141m Insurance linked mortgage for Crystal Garden Estate (2011), arranged a $1.15bn FGN Asset Management mandate managed by Francis Fischer Trees Watt (“FFTW”) UK, a subsidiary of BNP Asset Management, underwrote circa $187.5m in various deals as Group Head, Corporate Finance in Intercontinental Bank, designed the Feasibility Study of the London subsidiary of Intercontinental Bank and designed the Feasibility Study of Partnership Savings & Loans (formerly Intercontinental Savings & Loans now TrustBond Mortgages) among many others.
